Katherine Chidiac, Founder. Now is New.

I'm Kat.

I am a mum, creative entrepreneur, author and teacher.

I have had a busy old life. Alongside being a mum of four children I have studied and founded my own successful businesses, always doing what I love. As a Creative Director I have also helped hundreds of others launch and strategise their dream businesses.

It’s been great. But along the way boy did I suffer and struggle. I tried everything (AND I mean everything)  physical, mental and spiritual to help feel and do better in both my personal and professional life. But I always seemed to end up feeling rubbish again. No matter what I did, I often felt stuck and fed up.

What was going on? What was wrong with me?

Turns out - nothing. One happy day I was introduced to my innate health where I finally uncovered my own reliable and infinite capacity to be ok. My shoulders finally relaxed and my eyes twinkled again. I now encourage others to stop struggling and start living through my own creative work in businesses and with young people.

Living the dream… Now is new is a project I founded in 2021 to realise my dream of helping 1 million young people to stop struggling and start living a life they love. It is based on the book Now is New that I began writing in 2020.

Crazy times need our beautiful creative minds!

What I do…

My work is focused on helping young people who are struggling to thrive.

  • I run groups and courses for young people.

  • I run groups and courses for adults who work with young people and parents.

  • I can also take a small number of young people 1-2-1. A minimum of four sessions is required. Please click here to contact me.

Alongside this I make cool new stuff, jewellery and write : ) Who said you can’t do what you want?

Out of the past, in the present, for the future…

The deets…

Katherine Chidiac BA(Hons) MA(Distinction)

I grew up in London (Arsenal supporter and tea addict). I finished my BA in Graphic Design, specialising in typography in the late 1990s. I later co-owned a Shoreditch based design company, Complete Creative, where, as Creative Director I specialised in identity and all aspects of brand communication.

In 2006 after several short courses in metal work I found a new passion and trained in the art of metal smithing and jewellery making. It was during my Masters in Jewellery Design in 2008 where I happily began to explore all the different aspects of my interests and creativity to define my own design language employing concepts of self and jewellery as art in the ongoing art project Precious Identity. I continue to make unique pieces for individuals in my studio and workshop at home.

I also founded and co-owned a high street business, Beautiful from 2009 - 2016. In parallel I have devoted much of my time to spiritual and self education but have found my home in the the brilliant Three Principles. This has taken me across the world, on many courses and to many talks. I worked for Innate Health, a charity in London from 2016 and saw through their transition to iheart through rebranding the organisation in late 2018. I also graduated as a facilitator after designing, developing and producing the iheart curriculum. I have shared iheart in Westminster University, Hasmonean Boys School, Gayhurst School, Brighton & Albion Football Academy, Southfields Academy, Queens Park Community School, Christ College Finchley, East Barnet, The Helix Centre, Greenford and Elmgrove. I currently work as a therapeutic coach in Harris Academy, Willesden working one-to-one.

I have also worked with the Wisdom & Wellbeing Collective team within Harris Academy, Morden on their Young Entrepreneurs Scheme together with refining their visual communication. I also graduated as a Wisdom & Wellbeing and Inner Game practitioner and coach. I have also worked inside businesses sharing creative principles with my mentor and friend Elizabeth Lovius. Most notably within the M&S leadership teams.

Today I spend all of my time doing what I love and helping others do the same, exploring the truth of experience with individuals, groups and in a variety of educational settings. I am also passionate about developing the visual language to communicate the principles of resilience and innate mental health to a wider audience and especially young people through my own creative projects, with fabulous partners and innovative clients.

Above all, I am committed to developing language that transcends time and culture, that speaks to the eternal within us all...

Kat lives in London with her children and dogs Lulu & Red.
